Math – Grade 6
The purpose of this course, the first in the three-year middle school sequence, is to prepare
students for higher-level mathematics. The course has been designed to further student understanding of mathematical concepts in each of five areas identified by the NJ Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) as critical in Grade 6.
These areas are:
Expressions and Equations
Geometry
Ratios and Proportional Relationships
The Number System
Statistics and Probability
Math – Grade 7
The purpose of this course, the second in the three-year middle school sequence, is to prepare students for higher-level mathematics. The course has been designed to further student understanding of mathematical concepts in each of five areas identified by the NJ Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) as critical in Grade 7.
These areas are:
Expressions and Equations
Geometry
